Gesha Farm
Home to the wildest forests in Ethiopia, Gesha coffee beans grow in the Bench Machi region of Ethiopia right across the South Sudan border. With the expansion of our coffee export business, its only right we acquired our second farm in this beautiful region in 2017. In the past few years, Gesha coffee beans have gained huge popularity for their sweetness and acidity. In fact, the highest prized coffee in Africa was sold there in 2018 for an astonishing $105 dollar per pound. Although our current plantations only stretch on 150 hectares, we truly believe Gesha beans to get rapid attention worldwide. Our latest data indicate a successful result with around 400,000 kgs of organic grade 1 coffee and about 20,000 kgs organic grade 2. An approach we have been taking in our Gesha farm is to plant seeds from Gore-Gesha; wild beans from a forest 15km outside our farm.
